Erik W. Darling began his healthcare journey serving eight years in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman, where he developed a deep commitment to patient care and service. After his military career, he pursued nursing and spent over two decades working across a wide range of clinical settings as a Nurse Case Manager.
Witnessing firsthand how patients and families struggled to navigate the complexities of the healthcare system, Erik transitioned into patient advocacy — bringing his clinical knowledge to bear on behalf of those who needed a trusted guide most. He became a Board Certified Patient Advocate (BCPA), one of the highest credentials in the field.
Erik also holds a California Health Insurance Broker license and specializes in Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement Plans, and Medicare Part D. He represents 12 major carriers across Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Ventura counties, always providing nonbiased guidance to help clients find the plan that truly fits their needs.
As an author, Erik has written two books — "Become a Well-Informed Patient" and "Switching Roles" — to empower patients and family caregivers with the knowledge they need to advocate for themselves and their loved ones.
